SmartSep™ applies advanced magnetic sorting to isolate specific cells that are attached to magnetic beads with exceptional recovery and purity as well as enabling efficient beads removal in the depletion process before infusion to the patient.

THE SmartSep™ INSTRUMENT

SmartSep™ enables an automated, hands-free cell isolation or beads depletion operation in a closed system reducing manual operation. The device is fully adjustable and can be tailored to different protocols and applications. Software controlled handling steps allow users to change parameters such as magnetic field strength, pump flow rates, sample and buffer volumes and separation time, easily with the click of a button from the touchscreen monitor. A variety of cell separation and beads depletion protocols come preinstalled in the software.

Single-use bag and tubing set

Sealed single-use disposable sets enable work in a sterile closed system condition and minimize clean room requirements. They include bags, system tubing and the appropriate connectors to enable a closed and sterile fluid path. SmartSep™ can be seamlessly integrated into cell manufacturing processes or used as a stand-alone benchtop instrument, for research and development uses. Its special design allows users to rerun their isolation for even higher recovery and purity rates without compromising sterility or cell viability.
